We check the goods against your PI — before you release the balance.
An independent inspector at your factory, on your schedule. We verify model, quantity, colour mix, materials, dimensions and packing against the documents you negotiated with your factory. Three service levels, from $149 per man-day. English report within 24 hours.
Three levels — you choose how deep we go
The difference between levels is real work: more man-days, larger samples, deeper checks. Not the same report with less written on it.

What we actually check
You have paid a deposit. Production is finished. The factory wants the balance. Your question is simple: are these the goods I ordered?
Order consistency
- Model and SKU against your PI
- Carton and unit count
- Colour and model mix ratios
- Order number on carton marks
- Accessory and hardware packs
Materials as agreed
- Fabric composition and labels
- Foam density against your spec
- Wood species against your sample
- Board grade, finish, coating
- Hardware grade (304 / 316)
- Leather vs synthetic leather
Dimensions
- Overall L × W × H against drawing
- Functional dimensions: seat height, table height, bed width
- Diagonal squareness
- Within agreed tolerance?
- Re-measured after assembly
Physical checks we can do
- Wobble and stability
- Load test with weights
- Carton drop test
- Drawer and hardware function
- Assembly by a non-skilled operator
- Moisture, foam density, odour
Appearance against your sample
- Colour under daylight
- Fabric pattern and texture
- Wood grain and figure
- Finish, edge banding, seams
- Batch-to-batch consistency
Packing and loading
- Carton count against packing list
- Shipping marks and labels
- Protection: corner guards, foam
- Cartons opened and checked inside
- Loading supervision on request
Without these, we can still verify — but the report records which judgements rest on incomplete reference, and that limits what the report can prove.
What we do not do
Not our scope
- Product testing of any kind
- CMA or CNAS accredited reports
- Formaldehyde, fire resistance, abrasion, salt spray, UV
- Certification of any type
- Supplier selection or negotiation
Instead we do
- Check the goods against your documents
- Perform the physical checks listed above
- At Level 3, verify the factory's test reports cover what your client requires
- State clearly what we could not verify and why
Our report is an order verification statement, not a product test report.
It has no legal standing. It cannot be used for customs clearance, marketplace approval, or in litigation. If you need evidence with legal force — for a customs hold, a platform listing, or a dispute — you need a CMA/CNAS accredited laboratory, and we will tell you so rather than pretend otherwise.

Why factory photos do not close the order
Every buyer has received a photo album that looked perfect. Some were genuine. Most were incomplete.
How they get staged:
- One good angle — the sun-facing, cleaned-up corner of the batch. Nobody photographs the other four sides.
- The pre-production sample — the unit in the photo may not be the batch you paid for.
- Lighting and filters — a warm filter hides a colour mismatch that will be obvious under your warehouse lights.
- Newly tidied units — a carton opened for the photo is restacked afterwards; scratches appear from handling.
- Selective cartons — 300 cartons in the container, five photographed.
What a photograph cannot show you:
| What you see | What only an on-site check shows |
|---|---|
| "The count looks right" | Actual units per carton, carton by carton |
| "It looks like the sample" | Whether the batch matches, unit by unit |
| "The chair looks solid" | Does the seat hold 300 lbs for 60 minutes? |
| "Wood looks good" | Actual moisture content — 12% or 18%? |
| "Cartons look fine" | Do they survive a 30-inch drop? |
This is not about accusing your supplier of lying. Most factories are honest and under time pressure. The problem is that a photograph is not evidence.
Why buyers book a verification
Three levels, published prices
$149, $199 or $299 per man-day. All-inclusive travel within Guangdong. No weekend surcharge, no holiday surcharge, no overtime charge. The price we quote is the price you pay.
Furniture specialists, not generalists
We check the things that go wrong in these categories — foam density, wood species substitution, colour batches, carton quantities, packing method. Level 3 adds leather cross-section and third-party report verification.
The report tells you what it could not verify
Every report includes a section listing items we could not check — because the reference was missing, or because the test needs a laboratory. You know exactly where you stand.
Free re-check if goods fail after a pass
If our report says the goods match the order and they arrive defective, we re-check free and refund the fee. In our service agreement, not just a promise on this page.
Independence
Our fee is paid by you and has no connection to the factory. We accept no commission from suppliers.
This is why our inspector can report that a lot does not match the order, and still be your inspector for the next one.
A real order
The situation. A European importer of 240 office chairs had paid a 30% deposit. Production was complete. The factory sent 12 photos showing a clean, uniform batch and asked for the balance. Order value: $31,000.
What the photos missed. Our inspector sampled 80 units across the stacks and load-tested them.
| Seat wobble beyond 3 mm | 26 of 80 |
| Leg strength failed at 75 lbs | 9 of 80 |
| Gas lift without certification mark | 74 of 80 |
| Carton drop test failure | 3 of 5 cartons |
What happened. The report reached the buyer that evening. The buyer withheld the balance payment the next morning.
The factory replaced the uncertified gas lifts, reworked the 26 wobbly chairs, and replaced the failing cartons. Re-check after 6 days: passed.
Cost: $199 (Level 2).
Value of that finding: the buyer's decision on a $31,000 balance payment.

Questions
What is the difference between the levels?
Real work, not a shorter report. Level 1 confirms order conformity. Level 2 adds appearance, materials, dimensions and physical tests. Level 3 adds near-full sampling, leather and wood species examination, third-party report verification, contractual load testing and container loading supervision. See the full table →
Which level should I choose?
First order with a new supplier, or a high-value contract order: Level 3. Regular orders where you know the factory: Level 2 is usually sufficient. Small shipments or repeat orders where you only need the count confirmed: Level 1.
Do you issue a certificate or test report?
No. We issue an order verification report — a statement of what we checked, what we found, and what we could not verify. It has no legal standing and cannot be used for customs or litigation.
I need a CMA report for customs. Can you help?
Not directly — we are not accredited and cannot issue one. At Level 3 we verify that the factory's existing reports cover what you need. For new testing we can introduce you to accredited laboratories, and the cost goes to them directly.
What if I don't have an approved sample?
We can still verify. Appearance judgements will be limited to general consistency within the batch, and the report records that the appearance reference was incomplete. We would rather you know that before booking.
Which city do you cover?
Foshan, Shunde, Dongguan and Shenzhen, within 48 hours of booking. We go to your factory.
Do you guarantee defect-free goods?
No. Our verification is AQL-based sampling: on a 1,000-piece order we inspect a statistically valid sample, not every unit. What we commit to is that the report is honest, the evidence is complete, and the conclusions follow your documents. Full explanation →
Who pays the verification fee?
You do, directly to us. Our fee has no connection to the factory and we accept no commission from suppliers.
